Preserve Our Legacy NJ PSA

Yesterday we filmed our PSA. If you live in NJ you should be able to see it after February 1, 2010. Our mission is to increase awareness within the minority community. We provide percentage information that is extremely useful. Did you know that Hispanics only represent 9% of the total population for donors, African-Americans only represent 8% of the total population, while Caucasians represent more than 80%. We need everyone to create awareness about this. Increasing donation can save millions of lives.

Jen Austin

Today they featured Jen's story. We were contacted by a few people to try to help to find her a donor. It is so important that minorities register as a bone marrow and umbilical cord donor. Our mission by the next year this time millions of minorities will be informed about the need. If you want to find about a donor drive near you please check out: www.savejenaustin.com. This is why Jaden's Law is so important!!!

Jaden's Law walk 2010

Today more than ever it is important that we inform as many minorities as possible about bone marrow and umbilical cord blood donation. These resources provide the needed stem cells for those in need of transplants. Just think there are 4 million births a year, if we had only 10% of minority women donate their umbilical cord blood, we will increase the national registry by 400,000. Jaden's Law Walk will create awareness throughout minority populated cities in 2010 through a series of walk-a-thons. If you are interested in participating, please let me know.
